Nora Ephron (1941 – 2012) — a seemingly great lady. Intelligent, funy, really funny, elegant, strong and “an expert in all the departments of living well“. To hear stories of her now, even in the face of adversity, she continued to push through, to suck it up and get on with it. She did this throughout her life too in her films, her essays and, above all, the way she conducted herself. Today, we honor Nora and the legacy she created with some of her best pieces of advice. Great words from a great woman who truly got what it is to bringforth.
“Above all, be the heroine of your life, not the victim”.
“Whatever you choose, however many roads you travel, I hope that you choose not to be a lady. I hope you will find some way to break the rules and make a little trouble out there. And I also hope that you will choose to make some of that trouble on behalf of women”.
