Alistair MacLeod was a literary giant but, even more importantly, he was a good man and a kind human being.
He knew what it was to be, to love, to live, to have faith in Life and to ask the big questions, some of which, may never be answered.
He will be missed and the world of Canadian fiction will never be the same.
